Where does your money go?​
 

ShirtStories goal is to raise 4,000 euro​ (b, which will provide one talented South African Student a fully funded educational scholarship for one year. All the profit that is made from selling ShirtStories shirts and tote- bags, go to Socionext  to provide scholarships for young people in Africa to attend university.

Currently, Socionext focuses on generating income for scholarships for students in South Africa where the cost of higher education varies between 3000 and 5000 euro per year. Low wages (typically, parents may earn as little as 30 euro per month) and the lack of subsidized higher education combined with difficult access to finance and loans exclude many young people from university education in a country that has a
huge need for skilled labour.

How?
Socionext partners with two South African based organizations; TSiBA - a not for profit business school developing education opportunities for students from disadvantaged communities-  and
Studietrust (an independent national bursary agency) have extensive experience in successfully selecting and mentoring young talented people.

What difference does it make?

• More than 90% of the students receiving a Studietrust scholarship successfully complete their studies.

• At TSiBA, students are encouraged to invest their time in working for the communities where they come from.

• Provide learning, leadership and development opportunities for students in the Netherlands and South Africa.
